about
Meet Holly! She is CEO and Lead Therapist at MpowerD Life. Find out why people travel so far to be assessed by her! Assessments include acute and chronic issues, your entire person and history. It is her goal to correct and help you heal not just make you feel better for a few days. You will also receive a home plan and suggestions for additional care if needed. We have vetted doctors spanning in orthopedics to neurology. She is nationally certified, state licensed and an insured massage therapist. She has had the pleasure to work with the Washington Wizards, and she has coached basketball for ELBL and Loudoun Freedom.
Holly has a rich background of personal triumphs, education and intuitive nature. She has an innate ability to get to the bottom line of why people may be suffering. She will take the whole person under consideration. She carefully listens and looks at history of pain, injury, illness and surgery, belief systems about pain and discerns the primary considerations to start a foundational healing. She is a direct communicator and will give you a plan to follow and, if needed, referral to the appropriate therapist.
Holly is also a yoga instructor with a certification of 200 RYT.

Holly is not only a massage therapist who heals the body, but she is a healer to all wounds that are emotional and mental. She is a mentor who truly understands what I have been going through, and she listens to all that I have to say. Holly is like a doctor because she can find and help cure any injury there is known in the world. But unlike many doctors, who only see the patient for 5 minutes or less, she really takes the time to talk to me and make me feel secure. Whenever I leave the doctor’s office, there is always disappointment after being told that I can’t do anything for 3 weeks or more due to my injury. They only tell me that I am injured, put me up in a brace, and then say bye. Holly is DIFFERENT: Every time I leave Holly’s place, I feel renewed and full of hope because of her understanding and optimism. We have built a personal relationship that is so strong and allows me to trust every word that she says. She understands being in my position, and feels my pain with empathy. I have never met such a god-like person.

I have always been an athlete and had over 100 massages in my life. In the past 2 years I had a baby AND back surgery. Holly saved me! Her knowledge of the musculoskeltal system is incredible and the combination of soft tissue work, stretching, and acupressure are better than nay I've experienced. Holly helped me get my life back, not only the activities I love. :)

We first met Holly about a year and a half ago when my daughter who is a swimmer was battling tendonitis and bursitis in her shoulders. Orthopedic doctors were suggesting surgery and physical therapy wasn't working. After a just few a sessions with Holly we saw noticeable improvement in her range of motion and the pain was rapidly decreasing. Now my daughter sees Holly after every big swim meet and a few times in between. Keeping her muscles and body healthy have made her a better athlete and she has been injury free since starting with Holly. My teenage son who had pain and tightness from baseball and growth spurts has seen similar results with Tasha. My mom who is 75 and not an athlete was in a car accident and suffered amputation of both her legs. She has been seeing (them) since being discharged from the hospital, and would probably not be as mobile as she is today without these massages... "the team" and Holly have done more for her physical well being than anyone else since she left the ICU at Fairfax Hospital in May. I have referred family and friends and coworkers to MPowerD and they ALL call and thank me afterwards. I can't say enough about how great this place and the people who work here are!

Allow me to start off by stating how lucky I am to have found Holly... I have had a hip replacement and although it went well I could never shake the chronic groin pain I had that had slowly taken away my quality of life.
Holly blew me away with her ability to do what other doctors have not "Diagnose my PAIN and tell me how to treat it". Holly's highly detailed knowledge and explanation of the body and how the muscles interacted to give me the pain I was feeling has allowed me to feel confident in stating that I will be a life long client.
...worked on me with such precision and explained... were doing. The techniques used... like no other massage I've ever had... isolated and manipulated every muscle need to relieve my pain. I have a goal of beating my 17 year old son in a sprint race and I truly believe with the help of... treatment I will be reaching my goal. After having a treatment from Holly... I realized that the so-called massages I have had in the past were NOTHING compared to pain relief treatment received from MpowerD. I was able to have my lateral movement and run with considerably LESS pain only after one treatment.
When you receive a treatment from MpowerD you are not just getting a massage, you are receiving a life changing event.

While training for the Boston Marathon in 2009 I endured a car accident and was badly rear ended a few weeks prior to the race. I was unfortunately not able to participate in the marathon due to being hurt in the after the accident. In addition to seeing an orthopedist I began physical therapy thinking I would be back to running in no time. After months of little results I sought various other treatment modalities in a desperate attempt to feel better but my pain persisted and my hopes of ever running a marathon again dwindled to the point I put those days behind me. Knowing my struggles and search of relief a friend referred me to Holly. From the initial session Holly took the time to listen and carefully assessed what was physically happening to my body. Holly was able to pinpoint a major source of my pain; specifically the area of my sitz bones where the hamstrings attach which in turn caused problems with my hip flexors as well as medial glutes. Via a less pain and Holly is now an integral part of my training program as I for the first time in four years gear up for a marathon again.
